Croatian national television (HRT), Slobodna Dalmacija, Zadarski list, HINA news agency, Novi Radio and many other media outlets have recognised the Lions Regatta as one of the most significant humanitarian sporting events in Croatia.
HRT Sport highlights that this is the most ambitious project of Lions Croatia, noting that over more than a quarter of a century the regatta has brought together over 7,600 participants from some 30 countries and raised more than €450,000 for addiction prevention programmes.
HINA, the Croatian national news agency, covered the announcement of the 27th edition of the regatta, giving the story of European teams arriving in the Zadar Archipelago a nationwide reach.
Slobodna Dalmacija emphasises that prominent entrepreneurs, businesspeople and humanitarians from across Europe are converging on the regatta, as the Zadar Archipelago plays host to this prestigious sailing and humanitarian event for the very first time.
The regatta has also been covered by regional media — Zadarski list, ZNet and SP TV — who reported on the arrival of more than 340 participants across 43 crews, as well as the ecological dimension of the event through sea and coastline clean-up activities.
