Welcome to the 27th edition of the International Humanitarian Regatta of Lions Clubs “Sailing Against Drugs,” an event that combines a passion for sailing, fellowship, and a noble cause. We invite Lions and Leo members, as well as sailing and humanitarian enthusiasts from around the world, to join us on the picturesque Adriatic coast of Croatia. Regatta Rules and Sailing Area
The competition is conducted according to rules designed for maximum simplicity and a focus on sailing skill.- Sailing Area: The regatta takes place in the picturesque Zadar Channel, between the mainland and the islands of Ugljan and Pašman.
- Measurement System: The Open Boat Measurement System is used, ensuring fair competition between boats of different sizes.
- Race Course: The race course is usually set in a triangle or windward-leeward (stick) shape.
- Sail Restrictions: Sailing is restricted to working sails only, which includes only the roll foresail (genoa) and roll mainsail. The use of additional sails (such as spinnakers or gennakers) is not allowed.
III. Logistics and Regatta Base
The main base of the event is a fully equipped marina.- Event Base: D-Marin Dalmacija, Sukošan (near Zadar).
- Boat Location: All boats and the main logistics center are located at Pier 7 of the marina.
- Facilities: Adequate restroom facilities are available near the pier for participants.
